Setup
Five short steps from the Windows installer to your first boot, plus the spec sheet to check before you start.
Vesper bundles no firmware. You supply the official PS5UPDATE.PUP, and the app installs it in one menu step.
PS5UPDATE.PUP is the PlayStation 5 system software package. Sony publishes it on the official PS5 system software update page, and you can also take it from your own console.
We do not host PUP files, keys, or dumps, and we never will. Download it from Sony's official page so you know what you have, then keep it somewhere you can find again.
Once that indicator is set you can move on to booting system software.
System software is Sony's, not ours. Shipping it inside the installer, or downloading it on your behalf, would mean distributing something we have no right to distribute.

From Sony's official PS5 system software page, or from your own console. Vesper does not bundle firmware and we do not host PUP files, keys, or dumps.
The copy Sony publishes on its own official system-software page is the one to use. Avoid third-party mirrors, which is the whole reason we point at the official source.
Yes. Without system software installed there is nothing for your games to run inside, and the launcher has nothing to boot.
No. If you want a different package you install it yourself through File then Install Firmware, exactly as the first time.
