The short version
- We don't sell personal data.
- This site keeps basic server logs and aggregate numbers such as page views and download counts.
- Vesper keeps diagnostics on your PC. Crash reports are optional and can be switched off in Settings.
01Overview
This policy explains what information ps5emulator.net ("we", "us") collects when you visit this website or use Vesper, the PlayStation 5 emulator for Windows PC, and what we do with it. We collect as little as we reasonably can to run the site, deliver the Windows installer download, and improve the app.
02What we collect on this website
Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and when you requested them. We use this to keep the site secure and working.
We also keep aggregate analytics, such as page views and download counts, so we understand how many people use Vesper. These numbers are looked at in aggregate, not to profile individual visitors.
03What happens in the Vesper app
Vesper writes diagnostic logs on your PC so that problems can be investigated. They stay on your PC unless you choose to send a crash report.
Sending crash reports is optional and can be turned off in Settings at any time. When a report is sent, it contains technical details about the problem, such as the error and basic system information, so we can fix it.
04Preview stills and media
The preview on our homepage uses still photography served from this site, with interface overlays drawn in the page. There is no third-party video player, so there is nothing auto-playing and nothing to track you.
05How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve this website and the Vesper app.
- To count downloads and understand overall usage.
- To investigate crashes when you choose to send a report.
- To meet legal obligations.
07Retention
We keep server logs, analytics, and crash reports only as long as they're useful for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize them.
08Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. You can turn off crash reports in Vesper at any time, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
09Children
This website and Vesper aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.
10Changes to this policy
When our practices change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be called out on this page.
