What lives here

  • Is it worth it? weighs an early emulator against the time it costs you.
  • PC vs console compares the two honestly, including the parts where the console wins outright.

Why these are separate from the guides

The setup and how-to pages are factual: a menu is where we say it is, or it is not. These two pages are judgements, and mixing the two would be dishonest.

We also have an obvious interest in you downloading Vesper. Keeping the opinions in one labelled corner means you can read the factual pages without wondering which parts are a pitch.

Questions

Will you tell me not to use Vesper?

Sometimes, yes. If you own a PS5 and simply want to play tonight, the console is the better choice and the worth-it page says so.

How does Vesper compare to other PS5 emulators?

All PS5 emulation is early, ours included. We will not publish head-to-head benchmarks against other projects, because results swing wildly per title and per build.
