Where it stands

Ragnarök holds the Stable chip. It boots, saves survive, and the long stretches of walking dialogue that follow each fight do not fall over the way they once did in early builds.

What it asks for is endurance rather than peak performance. The title runs for hours without a loading break, so a machine that is merely adequate will show its limits gradually instead of crashing straight away.

Giving it room

This is the clearest case for 16 GB of RAM rather than the 8 GB minimum. The emulator and the game are both holding a great deal in memory, and a cramped machine starts leaning on the page file.

A discrete GPU with 8 GB of VRAM and a current driver is the other half of it. Vulkan 1.3 support arrives through the driver, so an old one limits you before the hardware does.

Before the first boot

Install your own official PS5UPDATE.PUP through File then Install Firmware, boot the system software, then add your own copy of the game. The setup path covers all of it in order.

Vesper does not include, sell, or stream games, and we do not host PUP files, keys, or dumps.

Questions

Is God of War Ragnarök worth playing through an emulator?

If you own it and your PC meets the recommended spec, it is one of the more complete experiences in the app. If you also own a working PS5, the console remains the easier route.

How much RAM do I need for it?

8 GB is the app minimum, but 16 GB is the realistic figure for a title that runs this long without a break.

Does the DualSense work during combat?

Yes, including haptics. A DualSense over USB or Bluetooth is the recommended controller, and Xbox pads work too.
