# Add your games

Own your library, then show Vesper where it lives. The launcher supplies no games of its own.

## Adding a title

1. Boot system software so the interface is running.

2. Choose File, then Add games.

3. Point Vesper at the folder holding the PS5 games you already own.

4. Let the launcher finish reading them and building its tiles.

Each tile then carries the compatibility chip from [the dashboard](/dashboard), so you can see where a title stands before you press start.

## Own your library

This is the part we will not soften. Vesper does not include, sell, or stream games, and the 400+ entries in the app are status records rather than anything downloadable.

Use Vesper only with PlayStation 5 games you already own. That is the condition the whole project is built on, and the reason there is no store anywhere in the interface.

## Keeping the library tidy

- Keep games on an SSD where you can; the large open worlds stream constantly.

- Use one folder for everything, so a single add covers the lot.

- Re-run Add games after moving files, since the launcher stores locations.

- Expect tile art and chips to refresh when you update the app.

### Does Vesper come with any games?

No. It includes, sells, and streams nothing. You add the PlayStation 5 games you already own.

### What are the 400+ titles in the app then?

Compatibility records with a Stable, Beta, or Test chip each. They tell you how a title behaves; they are not copies of it.

### Do I need to own the PS5 game to emulate it?

Yes. Vesper is a launcher for your own library and nothing else.

### Can I add games before installing firmware?

Install and boot firmware first. Without system software running there is nothing for a title to launch inside.
