# Final Fantasy VII Rebirth — PS5 emulator

Stable on Vesper. A long playthrough — save often, own the copy you already have.

## Facts (2026-10-13)

- **Status:** Stable
- **Length:** Very long — save often
- **Expect:** Long sessions, save often
- **Firmware:** Your own PS5UPDATE.PUP

## Where it stands

Rebirth is Stable in the Vesper launcher. It boots, it plays, and you can take a long session through the open regions on the copy you already own.

A long game still wants frequent saves. That is how you treat a fifty-hour title, not a downgrade of the chip.

## Playing a long game

- Save manually and often, in more than one slot.

- Note the build you started on, since updating mid-playthrough can change behaviour.

- Open regions stream more than the linear stretches — keep the game on an SSD.

- Check the chip again before a long session.

The sheer length is why we still say save often. A Stable chip is reliability across sessions, not a 4K or 60 fps promise.

## Getting it into the launcher

Install your own official PS5UPDATE.PUP, boot the system software, then add your own copy through File then Add games.

Vesper ships no games. Own the copy you already have. Not affiliated with Sony.
