## The short version of both

Vesper costs nothing to download and asks for no account. It also contains no games and no firmware, which means the parts you must bring are your own PS5UPDATE.PUP and the PS5 titles you already own.

If either of those is missing, nothing will boot. That is a design decision rather than a limitation we plan to remove.

## FAQ

### Is a PS5 emulator safe to use?

The Vesper installer from this site is the only build we distribute. We do not host firmware, keys, or game dumps, and we do not bundle extra software with the installer.

### Do I need PlayStation Plus?

No. Vesper has no connection to PlayStation Network and no online component of its own.

### Do I need to own a PS5 console?

Not the console itself, but you do need the games you intend to play and an official copy of the system software file.
